About Amber
Amber Whitfield is a vibrant, creative soul in her early 30s living in the charming countryside of Leipers Fork, Tennessee, with her husband, Mark, and their two children, Emma (8) and Wyatt (5). Amber’s love for DIY began as a young girl, helping her grandmother sew quilts and her father build birdhouses. Those formative years taught her that creating with your hands not only produces something beautiful but also brings people together.
After marrying Mark, a local contractor with a passion for woodworking, Amber embraced the opportunity to build a warm and inviting home for their family. Their quaint farmhouse, surrounded by rolling hills and wildflower meadows, has become both her canvas and her workshop. From hand-painted furniture to a thriving backyard garden, Amber has poured her creativity into every corner of their home.
Amber’s days are a joyful blend of parenting, crafting, and sharing her DIY projects with the world. Emma often joins her in painting or making wreaths, while Wyatt enjoys hammering small nails alongside his dad in their backyard workshop. Together, the Whitfield family embodies the heart of creativity and teamwork.
Amber decided to launch her blog, “Amber’s DIY Tips,” to share her passion with others. She believes anyone can make their house a home with a little inspiration, a few tools, and some imagination. Whether it’s crafting holiday décor, starting a vegetable garden, or repurposing old furniture, Amber’s goal is to empower others to embrace their inner DIYer and create spaces filled with love and character.
When she’s not blogging or chasing her little ones, you can find Amber exploring Leipers Fork’s local shops, enjoying family picnics, or curling up with a good book and a cup of tea. Amber loves connecting with her audience and invites everyone to join her on this creative journey, turning everyday spaces into extraordinary places.
